Is our world an illusion? This is a common philosophical question asked by philosophers from ancient times to modern times. This idea has also been used in the plots of many Hollywood movies, such as The Matrix and Inception. Nick Bostrom, professor of philosophy at the University of Oxford, published an important article on the subject in 2001 that pushed this topic forward.
