In short, there are many things involved in the success of a mobile application. The first step you need to take before diving in headfirst is to understand the terminology involved. For example, when you hear the term “native apps,” it just means that the app was built for a specific platform. Unlike native mobile apps, hybrid apps can be used across multiple platforms and require only one code base. It can be installed on devices, looks and feels like a native app, and works by accessing the device’s hardware and internal API. In short, it is a combination of web and native applications. Having just one code base that works across multiple platforms means less development time, which of course will save you money, but hybrid apps are not that fast compared to native apps.
