The “Big Box” collection of computer games has been around for decades, but only recently joined video games as a trade for increasingly crazy prices. Unopened games get the most money, but since shrink wrap can be reapplied to an opened game, how do you know if your expensive collectible software is truly unopened and factory-open? In this video, I share my knowledge of the properties of shrink wrap as it pertains to “Big Box” computer games, giving you the tools to spot both original factory seals and re-wrapped items. Production Notes and Miscellaneous Information: – After the video was fully finished, it occurred to me that the X-CAR sample shown in the video may have simply been sloppy assembly work at Bethesda, adding the car and the additional track mentioned on the promotional sticker on the wrapper. I think that’s the most likely explanation, as the patina on the wrapper is almost certainly genuine, but the inner box has definitely been tampered with. – The file uploaded to YouTube was 10-bit h.265, but YouTube’s compression destroyed the quality a bit. Any band you see watching on YouTube is not present in the file I uploaded. – All music licensed by Epidemic Sound ========== Do you want to support me and help me make more videos like this?
